17th September 2005 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: F3 Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: Cool Sea Temperature: Cool Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Slalom racing in a F3 - hmmm. The biggest kit I had with me was the Ace at 94L or the Tabou. It's been a while since I had been on the race kit so I dusted it off but the wind wasn't strong enough to get going for more than a few yards. Wobbled around a few races with the rear pack whilst the the guys with the big kit flew around on apparent wind. Decided to try the last few races on the freestyle kit and opted for heli-tacks to stay up wind on the inside. Not a bad sail but a bit too cold for a summer suit. Would have been much better if there had been 10 knots more wind. |
